How to Play Patta Panch
Patta Panch: Wild Jacks is a five-in-a-row card strategy game. Play cards to claim matching board spaces, use Wild Jacks, and connect five chips before your rivals.
Players and time
Two to four players at launch. Two-player matches need two lines to win; three-player free-for-all needs one line; four-player teams need two team lines.
Deck and setup
Use two standard 52-card decks (104 cards, no jokers). The 10×10 board shows every non-Jack card twice. Four corners are wild and belong to everyone.
Objective
Complete the required number of five-chip lines before your opponents. In two-player play, the first to two lines wins.
How a turn works
On your turn, play one card from your hand. Match a standard card to an open board space and place your chip. Two-eyed Jacks place anywhere open. One-eyed Jacks remove an unprotected opponent chip. Draw a replacement card automatically after each play.
Ending the round and scoring
The match ends when a player or team completes the required number of lines. Completed lines are protected and cannot be broken by one-eyed Jacks.
Family variations
Family rooms may choose fast one-line matches or four-player team nights. Lazy Patta is not affiliated with third-party board-game brands.
Common mistakes
Holding dead cards without exchanging wastes turns. Using one-eyed Jacks on protected chips is illegal — look for completed lines first.
Strategy tips
Build two threats at once, block immediate opponent lines, and time your Jacks for maximum disruption. Wild corners count toward any line — use them deliberately.
